Delaware County’s 17 coaches earned an average salary of $161,435 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the third highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Indiana post-secondary schools during 2022.

Delaware County is home to just one post-secondary school which paid coaches during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $240,980 on average in Delaware County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $105,754.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
